Columbia Forest Products sponsoring house for Habitat for Humanity

It is with great pride and enthusiasm that Columbia Forest Products announces some big steps forward between the partnership of Columbia and Habitat for Humanity, locally in Greensboro, NC and on a national basis.
Columbia is sponsoring their first official house, which will be built for a family in Greensboro, NC. This presents a unique opportunity for everyone in the corporate Columbia office and anyone who may by visiting Columbia to participate in this endeavor, from late April to early September.
To commemorate the house sponsorship, Columbia hosted a new “ReStore On The Move” trailer that was at our corporate office from Monday, April 14, to Thursday, April 17, 2014. The trailer was available for employees and other building tenants to offer gently used household goods as donations.
And lastly, Columbia is finalizing details for supplying dozens of our Old Fort-produced “Cabinets for Humanity” kits to a number of different Habitat for Humanity affiliates as part of the 2014 Home Builders Blitz, including those in:
- Raleigh, NC
- Durham, NC
- Boone, NC
- Newport News, VA
- Birmingham, AL
- Orlando, FL
