As a North American manufacturer, we’re proud to be associated with hundreds of hard-working, innovative companies who use our product to make beautiful finished goods for our homes, schools, churches, hospitals and more.

Recently, our attention was drawn to a remarkable appearance of our special Radius Bending Plywood – a novel material that can be used to form curved shapes in cabinetry, furniture and, vehicles.

Well, in this case, it’s one special vehicle…a reconstructed version of Canada’s very first successful gasoline engine automobile – the Fossmobile – produced in 1897 by George Foote Foss in Sherbrooke, Quebec.

At the top, the front cowling of the original Fossmobile.  At the bottom, the replica and its builder, Fred Miller of Frederick J. Miller Custom Woodworks

At this moment, his grandson, Ron Foss, has a team of craftspeople and technicians hard at work, bringing this unique and historic accomplishment back to life.

Use the links below to learn more about the Fossmobile and, if you’re interested, you can pitch in and contribute to the project’s funding.
